Voices of Aalto is a project about place-making. I took the creative direction role working close together with architect Miki Sordi. Our proposal is enabling a better use of the courtyard of Aalto University emblamatic architecture school designed by architect Alvar Aalto.

In the project we wanted to open up the university, making it more charismatic and enticing. The new Otaniemi campus lacks affordance. So how to make the place affordable? It is about appropriation, creative meanings and belonging.

Voices of Aalto makes the campus more visible, both physical and digital and facilitates these interdisciplinary matches. A dynamic and transparent context that both creates new stories and is an informative platform.

The project was awarded as honorable mention (2nd prize) in A-Pocket competition that happened in Dec/2017
